Change Password
The user account management (ums) is a service that allows you to change your password or to view your personal data.
You can find the user account management at https://ums.hs-wismar.de/
Important: This portal is only for changing the password for your employee/student account or changing the service email address. Your studies applicant account is a separate account, this password can be reset via this link.
Login UMS
Log in with your central user ID at ums.hs-wismar.de.
Change password
After successfully logging in, enter your old and new passwords under Change Password in the My Data tab. Then confirm your entries by clicking the Change Password button.
Enter service email address
In order to reset the password for your central user ID at the University of Wismar in an emergency, a service email address must be entered in your account. If this is not the case, it is best to do so immediately.
The service email address must be a different email address that you can access personally.
- Enter the service email address in the corresponding input field.
- Confirm your entry by clicking the Reset email button.
- The new service email address will be displayed after a synchronization period of approximately 5 minutes.
