Support Ukraine

Scholarship program for refugees from Ukraine at Wismar University of Applied Sciences

With the project "Support Ukraine", Wismar University of Applied Sciences would like to contribute to the professional qualification of high-achieving refugee students from Ukraine, who will subsequently work for the reconstruction of the economy, science and administration in Ukraine and actively participate in this process. Within the framework of the project, a total of 12 residence scholarships are to be awarded, 5 for bachelor students and 7 for master students. For Bachelor students, one semester of professional-language study preparation is planned. Within the framework of the technical-language study preparation and the intensive initial support, various events are planned, such as a kick-off event at the beginning of the project, visits to cultural events, excursions, and an intercultural workshop, which will serve to integrate and network the participants.

The framework for the university's project is the program "Future Ukraine - Scholarship Program for Refugees from Ukraine at German Universities", which is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the German Foreign Office (AA).
