Workshop: Woodcarving

In this workshop, participants learn about different types of wood with different degrees of hardness – from lime to cherry – and how to use different carving tools. Hatchets, chisels (straight and hollow) and various carving knives are used. Objects of daily use such as wooden spoons and other wooden kitchen utensils or even small figures can be made according to a model or one's own imagination. Work started that cannot be completed within the workshop can be taken away or completed at a later date in the Yard. The event is open to all university members.
