Internal Degree Programme Accreditation
By implementing the quality management system and certifying it through system accreditation, Wismar University of Applied Sciences is able to accredit all degree programmes internally. This eliminates the need for an assessment of the degree programmes by an accreditation agency in the form of programme accreditation. Internal accreditation is now managed by us. This includes an external assessment by a group of experts. The internal quality assurance processes required for accreditation (including evaluations and subsequent measures and their documentation) and external assessments are carried out for all degree programmes according to a fixed schedule.
The legal basis for internal and external accreditation is the model ordinance in accordance with Article 4 (1) to (4) of the Interstate Treaty on the Accreditation of Studies (Studienakkreditierungsstaatsvertrag) with the resolution of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of 7 December 2017.
The regulations for internal accreditation are set out in the Regulations for Quality in Teaching and Studies and in the Guidelines for the Reaccreditation of Study Programmes.
