One of the aims of the DEQ is to support and promote cooperation between students and teaching staff. After all, overcoming problems, recognising potential for improvement and developing solutions can only succeed together.

Possibilities for conflict resolution within the faculty:

Ideally, a personal conversation with the lecturer helps to clarify problems and misunderstandings. The consultation hours can be used for this or an appointment can be made with the lecturer so that the discussion can take place in a quiet atmosphere and not "between the door and the door".

The Department Student Council is there to support the students. After a detailed discussion with the students, they will either contact the lecturer directly or, via a diversion, first contact the head of the degree programme.

If no solution has been found in the previous instances, the Dean of Studies is the next point of contact. He/she is also happy to promote cooperation at the faculty and to discuss problems that have arisen in a solution-orientated manner and to motivate improvements.

The course evaluation offers another opportunity to submit wishes and suggestions. Using text fields in open questions, students have the opportunity to give the lecturer detailed feedback. These surveys are carried out at each faculty every three semesters towards the end of the lecture period.
