E-Learning

Universities are an important driving force in research and development - and are therefore obliged to develop media for teaching and learning programmes. The e-learning centre at Wismar University of Applied Sciences is responsible for this. For more than 10 years, we have been striving to offer customised digital solutions based on individual consultation. In our eyes, the teaching of media skills is also a quality feature.

Our field of activity includes in particular

• Technical development and didactic support of the teaching and learning platforms Stud.IP, ILIAS and the video server Opencast
• Conception and realisation of the "Digital teaching and learning spaces" project
• Media production in the production studio for e-learning applications (PELA) and self-drive studio

We mainly rely on open source software. This not only enables us to provide more reliable data protection, but also to design teaching and learning environments that are as open and flexible as possible. Wismar University of Applied Sciences has therefore also signed the joint declaration of German community-supported open source education platforms.
