International Day

Every year, International Day is dedicated to global student exchange. In addition to providing lots of information about exchange opportunities and holding a country quiz with prizes, our exchange students present their home countries and offer typical snacks for visitors to try. German students also talk about their experiences abroad and offer tips.

On 13 November 2025, we celebrated cultural diversity at our university with the International Day in the foyer of the Faculty of Design. After a warm welcome by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marcus Hackel, participants first received information about the ISAP, DAAD and Erasmus exchange programmes and the language courses offered by the university, presented by the head of the International Office, Korinna Stubbe. Afterwards, students reported on their stays abroad in Belgium, Italy, Denmark, the USA and Thailand. 

The highlight was the International Cultural Evening: in a fashion show, international students presented traditional clothing, impressed with singing and dancing, and offered international snacks.

The International Day was not only a celebration of cultural diversity, but also a wonderful example of the value of exchange and cooperation at an international level. Students and guests left the event with many new impressions and a heightened awareness of the enrichment that intercultural exchange brings.
