SEDA Awards Ceremony

On Friday 3 July 2026, the SEDA – Sustainable Entrepreneurship Design Award will be presented at Wismar University of Applied Sciences, with a keynote speech by trend researcher and futurologist Christiane Varga.

The European Project Centre (EPC) and the Faculty of Design at Wismar University of Applied Sciences invite you to the closing ceremony of the SEDA competition. The award is aimed at young design talents, start-up founders and entrepreneurs who have developed products, services or processes that combine environmental, social and economic sustainability. The three finalists will receive a professional coaching, and the winner will additionally receive prize money of 5,000 euros.

The jury

An international panel of experts, representing the five partner countries of the T.A.B. – Tech, Art and Business – Innovation Hubs for Cross-Sectoral Innovation project, will decide on the submitted projects:

  • René Holm (Denmark) – a Berlin-based, internationally renowned painter and artist
  • Vaidotas Valiukevičius (Lithuania) – lead singer of the band “The Roop”
  • Annette Matson (Sweden) – an expert in film, funding, entrepreneurship and international cooperation
  • Karolina Gołębiowska (Poland) – freelance artist specialising in sculpture, animation and socially engaged art
  • Prof. Dr Gunnar Prause (Germany) – now an honorary professor at Wismar University of Applied Sciences, with many years’ expertise in the fields of sustainable entrepreneurship, business model development and production.

Together, they will assess the projects in terms of their level of innovation, feasibility, market potential and sustainability impact, and will be present in person at the awards ceremony.

The competition is part of the T.A.B. project under the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2021–2027 and is co-funded by the European Union.

The keynote will be held in German.
The awards ceremony will be held in Englisch.
