The sub-project assigned to the Wismar University of Applied Sciences as part of the project of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Rostock supports SMEs from the healthcare sector, tourism, and medical technology with its specific support services in sustainable planning and construction in urban-rural development. Enterprises are qualified through targeted and concrete company-specific demonstration and testing opportunities to develop solutions for energy and resource-saving construction and operation of their businesses with the help of new digital applications and technologies. The objective is to support companies in their unique ways to become sustainable enterprises of the future and thus contributing to the protection of the environment and the climate.

SMEs are supported and qualified through participatory and cross-company formats (e.g. demonstration workshop Digital House, interactive face-to-face/online trainings, online learning programs with a certificate of
completion, demonstration of AI-/AR-applications, (convoy) workshops, excursions, practical projects with companies, guidelines, checklist "Climate neutral building" etc. and specifically prepared for the challenges in the protection of the environment and the climate to be able to market their services competitively via holistic regional value creation. As part of the network of planning and building in the urban-rural environment of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Rostock, SMEs will be enabled to competently and independently shape the increasingly digitally networked value creation. Interested companies can also receive further support (e. g. short- and long-term
