On 9 June 2026, ten teams from our UAS and the region presented their forward-looking start-up ideas at the StartUpYard.
In the ‘Students’ category, Christof Rupprecht won with his design for a sustainable writing instrument, whilst in the ‘Graduates and External Entrants’ category, a neuro-inclusive reading learning tool by Antje and Raik Lasner took first place.
Other award-winning projects also focused on sustainability, climate protection and innovative technologies. We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to all participants, especially the winners, as well as the runners-up Sophie Becker and Lars Tischer, and those who came third: Marvin Hildebrandt, Paul Thede and Niklas Seehafer
The first- and second-place winners from both categories will now represent Wismar at the state final on 8 July 2026 in Rostock. The competition supports aspiring entrepreneurs with prize money, coaching and valuable networking opportunities.
