One of the many stands at the Freshers' Fair (Ersti-Rummel” on 17 September 2025 was that of the Didactics/E-Learning/Quality Management team, known as DEQ for short. Over 100 first-year students visited the stand and learned about the topic of evaluation at our UAS. In addition to the regular surveys on quality control and continuous improvement of study conditions, there was something special: the Freshers' Fair survey. In three thematic blocks, each with three questions, the most frequent answer was sought. And the free-text comments also provided plenty of food for discussion, whether it was the foolproof certificate for the Bachelor's degree or the occasionally grumpy unicorn professor in memeology.
All results are summarised in the PDF file (in German).
The fun survey was a direct way for our DEQ team to establish contact for further joint work, with a request to all students to actively participate in future surveys. This is because the individual degree programmes are evaluated on a regular basis. Constructive feedback is essential for this, in order to help maintain and improve our quality standards. The DEQ expressly points out that these surveys are, of course, anonymous and cannot be traced back to individual participants. Even though they are conducted via the personal Stud.IP account, the interface is configured in such a way that it is not possible to trace whether a participant took part in the survey, nor what was evaluated or communicated.
In addition, reference was made to the digital suggestion box, which can be used if problems arise during your studies.
