The event organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation brought together artists and creative people to promote solidarity with Ukraine. Dr Anna Fomenko was forced to leave her home country with her family due to the Russian war of aggression and has since worked as a research assistant in the International Management programme at Wismar Business School of Wismar UAS.

Here she not only teaches, but also develops various interdisciplinary projects in the field of compliance management together with researchers from the academic environment in Ukraine (e.g. the BIP programme together with Prof. Dr. Arnaout, the head of the International Management course). She is also a member of NordHausUA, an association of Ukrainian refugees in northern Germany. She represented both aspects at "Cafe Kyiv", which was attended by more than 3,000 organisers with 53 different programmes.

The European Commission, various embassies and federal ministries, as well as various German and Ukrainian universities and organisations were also represented at the solidarity event, and came into contact with each other to find new ways of working together and supporting each other, and to intensify existing cooperation.
