The European Project Centre (EPC) and the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Wismar University of Applied Sciences invite you to participate in the SEDA – Sustainable Entrepreneurship Design Award. The competition is aimed at young design talents, start-up founders and entrepreneurs who are developing products, services or processes that combine environmental, social and economic sustainability.
SEDA recognises projects that go beyond theoretical concepts and have the potential to drive real change. We are looking for innovative and feasible ideas that create long-term added value for society and the environment and are aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda. Entries may include physical products, services or action plans that combine sustainability with economic viability.
A panel of experts comprising designers and specialists from the fields of business and innovation will assess the submitted projects based on their degree of innovation, feasibility, market potential and sustainability impact. Up to 10 selected projects will have the opportunity to present their idea as a 1 m² exhibition stand at the DIA 2026 – Annual Exhibition for Design, Interior Design and Architecture at Wismar University of Applied Sciences, taking place from 3–5 July 2026 in Wismar.
All 10 selected projects will receive a grant of €1,000 to implement their exhibition contribution; the three finalists will also receive professional coaching to further develop their business idea and business model. The winner will additionally receive prize money of €5,000.
The competition is part of the T.A.B – Tech, Art and Business – Innovation Hubs for Cross-Sectoral Innovation project within the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2021–2027 and is co-funded by the European Union.
