Prof. Oliver Hantke was appointed professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, in the course of interior design in 2012. His diploma in architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt was followed by teaching positions in interior design at the Hochschule Mainz, University of Applied Sciences, and at the Technical University of Darmstadt. In addition to classical building architecture, his professional focus is on building in existing structures and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as a variety of exhibition designs and spatial installations for museums in Germany and abroad, such as for the German pavilion at the EXPO in Shanghai (China).
Prof. Dr. Marcus Hackel received his doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin on the topic of "Sustainability marketing of German architectural services". His practical work as an architect took him from Germany to the Middle East, China and South East Asia. He taught as a visiting professor at Tianjin University in China, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand and at UNITEC Institute of Technology Auckland, New Zealand. Since 2009, he has been appointed at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, as a professor in the field of "Building Practice and Design."
In the Faculty Council on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, the new Dean's Office of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, was elected during the online meeting. Prof. Achim Hack, dean since 2015 and vice dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design from 2006 to 2012, says goodbye to the faculty management with the start of the new deanship. So too is Prof. Dr. Asko Fromm, who is relinquishing his position as Vice Dean after three years. Both will continue to be active in teaching.
