On 4 March 2026, pupils from Gerhart-Hauptmann-Gymnasium Wismar and students from Wismar University of Applied Sciences met for a democracy workshop on campus.
The event was organised by the European Project Centre as part of the Interreg project D-EFFECT.
In the morning, students focused on media literacy and recognising fake news. At the same time, pupils experienced democratic participation and personal boundaries in the workshop ‘Experiencing the right of veto in practice’.
In the afternoon, both groups worked together in workshops on democratic decision-making processes and dealing with disinformation.
