Caspar David Friedrich Fellowship 2022

The Caspar-David-Friedrich-Scholarship (CDF-Scholarship) is announced for especially qualified young artists by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre, the Caspar-David-Friedrich-Institute of the University of Greifswald and the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Hochschule Wismar, selected by an expert commission and finally awarded to the scholarship holders.

The requirements for applying for the CDF scholarship include a completed course of study, outstanding achievements, and a project that is an important contribution to the further development of artistic forms and means of expression. Funding is expected to begin on June 1, 2022. The application deadline is 28th February, 2022. Funding period initially one year.

The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern supports artistic projects in the visual, applied and performing arts, artistic photography, literature, music, film, design, architecture and media art, as well as interdisciplinary projects. Originality, quality and feasibility of the artistic project are required.

Most recently, in 2020 at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, graduate Moritz Jason Wippermann from the Communication Design and Media degree program received the CDF scholarship of 1,000 euros per month.
