The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Chamber of Engineers Award 2025 was presented again this year during the matriculation ceremony on 17 September 2025. The certificate and prize money of 500 euros were presented by Steffen Güll, member of the board of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Chamber of Engineers.
In his thesis, the 23-year-old developed a weight-optimised vehicle chassis for a hydrogen-powered prototype vehicle to be used in the international Shell Eco-Marathon. With an aluminium ladder frame weighing only 7.2 kg, which nevertheless meets all safety and strength requirements, he succeeded in creating an innovative functional solution.
Requirements analysis, concept evaluation, simulation and optimisation, cost calculation and production planning, specialist knowledge, creativity, determination and solution-oriented work are all components of his work that led to this award-winning success.
