This year's programme, which was colourful, cheerful, loud, diverse, sporty and highly scientific, was brought to the creaking stage of the old auditorium in House 1 by the Sumpf student club, the Faschingsopas from the IHS ‘Die Macher’ e. V. carnival club, together with the Department of Maritime Studies, Systems Engineering and Logistics (SAL).
The smooth handover of the keys by the department head to the Faschingsopas was followed by a brief presentation of the history of the carnival lectures on paper before the stage belonged entirely to Prof. Dr Henrik Schnegas. With three prominent guests of honour, the Wismar teaching import from the Department of Mechanical Engineering/Process and Environmental Technology entered the auditorium, got the audience in a festive mood with his sophisticated special lecture and even presented a new chorus for the department anthem.
Of course, the singing competition was once again won by the team of professors, staff and alumni, despite the fantastically beautiful and exuberant hit performances by the student cohorts, the Sumpf and the Faschingsopas.
Where else in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is there a comparable event on 11 November?
