Microsoft Office is currently available to employees through the university campus contract at no additional cost.
The following versions are available:
- Windows: Office 2013 Professional Plus (with Outlook, Access, etc.)
- Windows: Office 2013 Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint only)
- Windows: Office 2016 Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint only)
- Windows: Office 2016 Professional Plus (with Outlook, Access, etc.)
- Mac OS X: Office 2016 Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint only)
You can install the original software from the following URL if your devices is located in the internal employee networks of FIW (no WLAN):
\\fs1.fiwi.hs-wismar.de\Campussoftware
If your device is not logged on to the domain, please identify yourself with your data center login according to the following scheme:
Username: hsw\username
Password: your password
If you are outside the university or in the WLAN, you need an active VPN connection.
You can install one MS Office on Premise license on one official HSW computer. Installation on private computers is not allowed.
Free MS Office alternatives
Please note that there are some good and free alternatives to Microsoft Office. We would also like to point out that using MS Office 365 may result in your personal data being stored in a Microsoft cloud.
