E-Learning

The DEQ staff unit supports you in designing your teaching to be digital, innovative, and practice-oriented. Building on the longstanding expertise of the former E-Learning Center, we offer individual consultation, training, and tailored solutions for your digital teaching.

Our goal is to help you harness the potential of digital technologies and strengthen media competence – fostering future-oriented learning and teaching at the Wismar University of Applied Sciences.

Our areas of activity include in particular:

• Technical development and didactic support of the teaching and learning platforms Stud.IP, ILIAS, and the video server Opencast
• Conception and implementation of the project “Digital Teaching and Learning Spaces”
• Media production in the Production Studio for E-Learning Applications (PELA) and Self-Service Studio

To achieve these goals, we primarily use open-source software. This allows us not only to ensure data security, but also to create open and flexible environments for learning and teaching. For this reason, Wismar University of Applied Sciences has signed the joint declaration of the German community-supported Open-Source education platforms.
