In several exhibition rooms, more than 50 student research projects and final projects from three semesters will be shown on an area of about 150 square meters. These include architectural designs, illustrated books or even comics, design objects, photographs, video clips and interactive infographics from the Architectural Lighting Design, Architecture, Design with Product and Jewelry Design, Interior Design and Communication Design and Media courses.

The works on display were created in the winter semester 2019/ 2020, summer semester 2020 and winter semester 2020/ 2021 in the design bachelor's, diploma and master's programs at Wismar University of Applied Sciences, partly at home at the desk and partly in the studios and workshops on the university campus. Working titles such as "But please keep your distance", "Eutin Castle", "Japanese Mythology" or "Spielart" show the diversity of the topics. The exhibits are shown from the special exhibition area in the roof of the Schabbell via the connectors to the vaulted cellar. The work show in the Schabbell is part of the traditional three-day annual exhibition DIA of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, which takes place at the end of the summer semester.

DIA'21 will include further analog and digital program items from July 8th to 10th, 2021.
The abbreviation DIA is made up of the initial letters design, interior design and architecture and has given its name to the annual design exhibition of Wismar University of Applied Sciences since 2006. The exhibition at Schabbell runs until August 22, 2021, and the museum's opening hours, hygiene conditions and admission prices apply. As part of "DIA'21: Digital," film contributions on individual exhibits are planned live and online from the Schabbell. A film contribution moderated by students is scheduled for Saturday morning, July 10th, 2021.
