From the 8th to the 14th of October 2023, rectors, professors, and students from the universities of Aktau, Almaty, Astana, Kokshetau, and Kostanai visited our university as part of the EU-funded "Uxiship" and "UnWaste" projects. This visit aimed to facilitate joint courses and foster professional and cultural exchange between the universities and local businesses.

Since 2019, the projects "Uxiship" and "UnWaste" have collaborated with Kazakh partner universities, as well as Riga and Tallinn universities, to explore the subjects of IT entrepreneurship and circular economy. Lead-Partner for both projects is the European Project Centre (EPC) of Wismar Business School of the Wismar University of Applied Sciences.

The aim of both projects is to implement Master's degree programmes at the Kazakh partner universities, based on European standards, in both subject areas.
