For the first time, the School Construction Conference will be held as a learning space laboratory at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences.

Strategies for efficient learning landscapes and all-day schools in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

During the School Construction Conference at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, workshops and lectures will focus on current topics related to modern schools - including all-day learning, participatory planning processes, learning landscapes, sustainable school architecture and the task of schools in an urban context. Experiences from projects that have already been implemented will be presented and discussed.

In the learning space lab, a special focus will be placed on the joint development of concepts and ideas with all participants in order to develop concrete recommendations for action that can be implemented by the participants in their everyday professional lives.

The target group of the school construction conference are architects, school authorities, pedagogues, teachers, decision-makers responsible for the education sector in administrations and municipalities as well as all people interested in and committed to future learning environments. The conference's supporting program will also provide a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and networking among participants.

Organized by the Interior Design and Architecture programs of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, the Ministry of Education and Child Day Promotion Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Service Agency "Ganztägig lernen M-V." The event, which is free of charge, is in German.

The conference will take place on two consecutive days, Thursday, September 14^th and Friday, September 15^th, 2023, at the Faculty of ARchitecture and Design, Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, Philipp-Müller-Straße 14, Haus 7, 23966 Wismar.
