Müther's estate as founding stock
Building on the Müther estate, an archive is now to be established, which, with a regional focus, will collect the estates and bequests of architects, urban planners and civil engineers, but also other thematically related materials. Such an institution, which already exists in most regions of Germany, does not yet exist in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Inter-sectoral coordination
In a colloquium at the Hochschule Wismar, representatives of various archives, the state's Chamber of Architects and Chamber of Engineers, the Association of German Architects, the Association of German Master Builders, the City of Wismar and the Hochschule agreed on the foundation and content of a future architectural archive. The aim is to secure important documents on the history of architecture that would otherwise probably be lost, in order to make them available to research and the interested public.

Various documents on the history of architecture in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The archive will collect plans, photographs, models, written material and other documents to document the history and present of architecture and urban planning, civil engineering, construction-related art and design in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The institution is to be organisationally based at Wismar University of Applied Sciences. The location, organisational form and equipment of the archive are to be determined in the coming months. The Müther Archive at Wismar University of Applied Sciences is already happy to receive information on bequests, estates and other documents which could be of interest to the collection.
